In the Seventies, the Guitar became the most popular instrument
particularly among the young folks who strongly took interest in its most
extraordinary sonorities, developing its technical potential.
The reasons for its fast growing popularity are various an
distinctive:
*the growth of real guitar talents
*the making of guitar classes in approximately all national Conservatoriums
*the utmost interest shown for the instrument by all the contemporary
composers
*the springing of perfectioning seminars and classes managed by real
talented and enlightened "maestros"
*the perfectioning evolution of the lutery and, last but not least, the
effort of the Music Publishing Companies at publishing the almost entire
and endless repertoire either educational and performing.
The guitar has subsequently found its way into all the music ensembles,
implying the re-discovery of a virtually unknown repertoire and the birth
of new groups and ensembles.
The duet oboe-guitar is an outstanding example of the above, resulting in a
very pleasant and highly valuable musical path.
The timbres of both instruments do perfectly melt: the neat and insinuating
melodies of the oboe being enhanced by the charming sonorities of the
guitar, thus producing a continous and unique music flow.
Only rare - and quite old - recordings of such peculiar combination of
instruments are available, and we might as well say that "TRAIT- D'UNION"
represents an outstanding and mostly unique musical event.
Maybe the new composers should acknowledge this rare combination of sounds,
and follow up on the tradition inaugurated by Bruno Maderna who, in 1965
composed "Aulodia per Lothar", for oboe d'amore and guitar.
Negli anni '70 la chitarra ha vissuto un periodo di grande diffusione
soprattutto tra i giovani che si sono seriamente appassionati a questo
straordinario strumento in continua espansione tecnica.
Le ragioni che hanno favorito e alimentato questo importante fenomeno
musicale vanno individuate in un insieme di fattori quali ad esempio:
* la nascita di giovani autentici talenti,
* l'istituzione di più classi di chitarra in tutti i Conservatori di Musica,
* l'interesse per lo strumento dimostrato praticamente da tutti i
compositori contemporanei,
* il proliferare di Corsi di perfezionamento affidati a Maestri preparati e
illuminati,
* l'evoluzione della liuteria e soprattutto il prezioso contributo dato
dalle più importanti case editrici musicali che si sono impegnate a
stampare praticamente tutto il vastissimo repertorio didattico e
concertistico esistente.
Successivamente, ad un naturale ridimensionamento del fenomeno é seguita
una altrettanto importante esigenza quale l'inserimento della chitarra
nella musica d'insieme con conseguente rivalutazione di un repertorio poco
frequentato e la nascita di nuovi gruppi e formazioni.
Il duo Oboe e Chitarra rientra in questa logica ed il risultato che ne
consegue é sorprendentemente piacevole e musicalmente validissimo.
I timbri dei due strumenti si amalgamano alla perfezione, le sinuose ed
essenziali linee melodiche dell'oboe vengono valorizzate e impreziosite
dalle affascinanti risonanze della chitarra, la musica scorre naturale come
se si trattasse di un solo strumento.
Esistono rarissime incisioni (tra l'altro molto datate) di questo
particolare duo, per cui possiamo ben affermare che ci troviamo di fronte
ad un evento musicale piuttosto raro e di indiscutibile bellezza.
Forse i nuovi compositori dovrebbero dedicare una maggiore attenzione a
questa inedita formazione, dando così un seguito alla felice intuizione di
Bruno Maderna che già nel 1965 componeva, per oboe d'amore e chitarra,
"Aulodia per Lothar".
